It feels like looking into a mirror.

Sanjukt takes me through his joys of walking in Kurseong and shares how health for him is rather a collateral outcome from the health of others.

And mostly accidental.

Kurseong is pine tree country.

It has started seeing snow in December. Elevation, just 1500m.

Climate change is reaching us faster than we can imagine — but if you wish to cycle to touch snow and return to a city in the same day, put this white orchid of the eastern Himalayas in your places to see before you die.

We start talking about the idea of death in our lives. It is a topic that has been done to death itself. Perhaps we have nothing new to say.

Sanjukt’s perspective is that maybe, there is not so much need to deliberately look after our own health, and by extension perhaps your own happiness — if you are listening to what you must do to make and help other people feel happy.

In some ways, we reflect on what the first episode of my fledgeling podcast should be all about.

A guest in my own show.
Let that then be :)

Sanjukt described himself as an engineer, but mostly on paper. He runs wallobooks.org and I have been a strong supporter of their work for children in adversity.
